Apparently Frederick I of Sweden had a lion he liked.  When it died, they gave the pelt to a taxidermist…. who had never seen a lion.  Not too odd for 1731.  This was the result.  I’m still kind of perplexed why the taxidermist went a human route rather than a cat route but who am I to  judge?  I have a hard time getting the stuffing in the turkey.
