You scored as Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan. You are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God's grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance of your salvation, and he also enables you to live the life of obedience to which God has called us. You are influenced heavly by John Wesley and the Methodists.

  1. somehow the test got confused and claimed that I was a reformed evangelical, agh! the nerve.

  2. Yeah, I got emergent/postmodern. Pretty sure Dustin’s more reformed evangelical than I am emergent. I was reassured that mine didn’t come up “crazy liberal.”

I thought I was more neo-orthodox and reformed evangelical than my score indicated but who am I to argue with an online test? I’d better re-evaluate my theology.

  3. I got the same thing that Arnold did. I’m not sure how that happened. My Reformed Evangelical side did come out to the tune of 68%, but I thought it would be higher. Maybe I AM in the wrong denomination. Anyone know of some good Methodist churches that need a pastor??

  5. I think they have churches. But they do the merry-go-round pastor thing. Preach a few sermons, move on, preach a few more, move on.

  6. I’m sure if I said stuff like DNA and Organic more, I could have gotten a better Emergent score.

  7. So, one could feasibly have a three year supply of sermons and be set for life as a methodist pastor? hmm. Arnold, if you could just embrace the idea that spirituality is alot like madras, a matrix or beefstew; your Emergent score would make us all more proud.

  8. I got the Wesleyan thing too. My best guess is that’s the scoring they reserve for incredibly good-looking people.

  9. I got like a 70% emergent, and I’m fine with that. I got like a -% fundamentalist and I’m ok with that too:)
