It’s that time again.  Time to be thinking of the best songs of summer.  Last year’s collaborative effort resulted in a great soundtrack to the summer.  Let’s do another one… participants will get a copy.

And if you need a reminder of last year’s list, here it is:

  1. Don’t know how summery it is, but i really want my own copy of “The Humpty Dance.” It’s not not summery.

People say “Yo Humpty, you’re really funny looking.”
    That’s alright cause I get things cooking…

  2. I can already tell this mix is gonna have an old school feel to it. Kyle is so old school.

  3. I didn’t like this song in high school, but now it’s a nostalgic song from the past. I was fixed on “dance” name songs from Kyle’s post.

    Remember — S-s-s-s A-a-a-a F-f-f-f E-e-e-e T-t-t-t Y-y-y-y

    Safety, dance!

We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
‘Cause your friends don’t dance and if they don’t dance
Well they’re no friends of mine…

  4. As great as old school is, we gotta go with some current stuff. Even though Paris Hilton is touting her first single as “the theme of this summer,” Arnold, I know you, and I know that you have better sense than that.

I would, however, have two requests for this mix. The first would be “Over My Head” by The Fray. The second would be “Love and Memories” by O.A.R. Those songs are good times.

  7. Speaking of commies, what about something from “The Best of Karl Marx.” Didn’t he write “Right Here Waiting?”

    “Wherever you go…whatever you do…
    I will be
    right
    here
    waiting for you.”

  9. What about something from Sting? Didn’t he have that album “Ten Summer-ner’s Tales”?
