Rest in peace, Mr Eko.

Of course we knew some major character was gonna die on Lost this week.  The stupid promos said so.  If they ever showed The Usual Suspects on ABC, the promos would say Verbal is the guy that did it.

  1. Thanks for ruining The Ususal Suspects for me. It was next on my NetFlix.

  2. Dang it. I actually hesitated before I hit POST for this very reason. I just thought everyone had seen it by now.

  3. “I believe in God, and the only thing that scares me is Keyser Soze.”

Yeah, ABC kinda ruins stuff that way. Like we WEREN’T going to watch the episode otherwise!

  4. I love this bit from Wikipedia:

The name “Söze” resembles the Turkish word sözel, meaning “verbal,” which was Kint’s nickname. Additionally, the same term has a Hungarian-sounding pronunciation, when it is spelled with an “ö.”. The name “Keyser”, derives from the Turkish Ottoman title “Qaysar” [from Qaysar-in-Rum] and resembles the spelling and pronunciation of the German word Kaiser, which descended from the Latin word Caesar, meaning “emperor.” The name Kint also resembles the word “King”. Thus, Kint’s names could mean “Verbal Emperor” or “Verbal King.”

  5. See, that’s why I don’ like watching movie previews. I wish they could just tell me, hey, watch this because it’s going to be awesome! No details, let the awesomeness of the movie or show speak for itself.

  6. Not me! I love details…tell me the whole plot, I’m fine with that. You could never re-read a book or re-watch a movie if you can’t handle knowing the story already. And let’s not EVEN get into movies based on books!

Of course, I drive my brother nuts with this. I’ll ask the whole time we’re watching something, “What’s going to happen next?” He’ll be hissing at me, “SHUT UP! Just watch it!”
