Resolutions (what, again?) II
It’s that time of year again and the thoughts of most (and by “most”, I mean non argumentative) people turn to new year’s resolutions. You know what the perennial top three are? 1. Lose weight, 2. stop smoking, and 3. better financial management.
I’m opting for #1, among other things. Still have a few more to go and I’d love to do it this year. It’s been a long journey coming down seventy pounds, and in the mean time, I’ve been able to get to the most fit I’ve ever been. Sports are so much more fun now and it’s nice to be able to push the treadmill past walking speed and not be ready to pass out after 15 minutes.
I got this new toy that’ll help me get to the goal. It’s called a bodybugg and its stays strapped on to my arm. From there, it monitors my body heat and other factors to figure out my calories burned and steps taken in a day. All the info gets uploaded to the web to give me viewable reports including the day’s surplus/deficit (after I add in what I’ve eaten during the day).
