lomography
As you know, I forgot to take my camera along on this last road trip. I didn’t think it was that big of a deal since I’ve been to Portland around fifteen times and Seattle three times now.
But I feel weird going places without my camera.
So, when Jonathan and I stopped in Urban Outfitters in Portland and saw the lomo camera there, I decided that was going to be my trip camera. If you’re unfamiliar with lomos, they are Russian made, look like they were constructed for fifty cents and have two controls…. the clicker and the film advance wheel. That’s it… no focus, no aperture, no nothin. So why use it? Cause they’re wonderfully analog and they take all pictures with a fish eye lens. That’s the lens that looks like you’re seeing the world through a bubble or a fish’s eye.
I got roll 2 (Seattle, color) developed first. Have a look.
Roll 1 (Portland, B&W) will be along shortly.
Quirky and fun! Glad you forgot your camera.
