OK, no love for SoulWow or SoulGlo. We’ll try again with another YouTube video.
On Twitter, I subscribe to four celebrity feeds, Ashton Kutcher, because I want to help him beat CNN to a million followers, Anderson Cooper, because his producer puts up some interesting links and he’s funny (the producer, not Cooper who hardly ever posts himself), Michael Ian Black, who’s really funny (at least to my sense of humor), and John Mayer.
John Mayer is pretty much how I’d be if I was famous… talk way too much, post inside jokes that only 2 people get, and once in a while say something funny and/or insightful.
So one (of about 25 tweets he’s probably send today) was a link to a YouTube video. He’s talking about the recording studio he’s setting up in his house… and he and a drummer take a moment to just play and record with what equipment is currently set up. There’s no real creative genius here, just two musicians enjoying a formless jam and reveling in staying in a groove. This reminds me what worship band practice used to be like with the “A” band. Rehearse, rehearse, rehearse, break out into a random jam, rehearse, rehearse, random jam.
